SEMCO Publishing announced that its publication, Cement Products, the leading voice for North American cement producers, will change its name to Cement Optimized, effective 2025.
Cement Optimized will expand its focus on supplementary cementitious materials processing, distribution and uptake in the North American market, where public and private construction interests are streamlining levels of carbon-intensive portland cement in concrete mix designs. Editors will also track circularity and sustainability in cementitious material production and use, while continuing to deliver exceptional coverage of portland cement operations, regulatory compliance, plus workforce and market development strategies.
“We are excited to announce this change, which reflects our commitment to providing the most comprehensive coverage of the North American cement industry, and new emerging technologies for cementitious materials,” said Mark Kuhar, editor of Cement Optimized. “The new title, Cement Optimized, better reflects the magazine’s mission of helping readers optimize their operations and stay ahead of the curve in a rapidly changing industry.”
Joining the staff as co-editor is Don Marsh, editor of Concrete Products. Marsh brings a wealth of experience and knowledge, further strengthening the publication’s commitment to providing readers with great content. Jonathan Rowland, former editor of World Cement, will continue his role as contributing editor.
Cement Optimized will continue to be the leading source of information for cement industry professionals in North America and beyond.
